Birkenstock

Hi this is June and I just got a email from the prof that the monday class is canceled.
Today I am going to post a popular sandle. the name is Birkenstock.

Birkenstock OrthopƤdie GmbH & Co. KG is a shoe manufacturer headquartered in VettelschoƟ, Germany. The company sells Birkenstock, a German brand of sandals and other shoes notable for their contoured cork and rubber footbeds, which conform somewhat to the shape of their wearers' feet. Representative products include the two-strap sandal, the Arizona, and the Boston clog.
The Birkenstock brand traces its roots to a German by the name of Johann Adam Birkenstock. Birkenstock was registered in 1774 as a "subject and shoemaker" in local church archives. In 1897 it was Johann's grandson, Konrad Birkenstock, who developed the first contoured insole to be used by shoemakers in the production of custom footwear. 1902 saw another first in shoemaking by Konrad when he developed the first flexible arch support to be inserted in factory-made shoes. In 1964, these inserts were developed further into a shoe by Karl Birkenstock, and what would become the Birkenstock sandal was created.
Since 1967, these shoes have been sold in the USA. American Margot Fraser "discovered" Birkenstock sandals while on a holiday in Germany. She gained relief from a foot condition, and founded a trading company called Birkenstock Footprint Sandals, Inc. in Novato, California, based on her enthusiasm for the sandals. Renamed Birkenstock Distribution USA, Inc. in 2005, it remains the exclusive importer and distributor of Birkenstock name-brand products in the United States.
Since the 1980s, Birkenstock footwear has become popular among medical professionals (e.g. dentists, nurses) and others who work on their feet. In Germany, the sandals are most often used as house slippers, but in the United States they have become a part of everyday clothing from professionals to blue collar workers, even to the entertainment industry. Heidi Klum designs footwear for Birkenstock and wears them as well.
When not used as work footwear, people usually wear Birkenstocks with casual clothing. Birkenstocks are most often worn without socks.

The Air Jordan 13

Hi everyone, this is June and I am going to post about the new jordan series. I have been posting 3 jordan series and this is the fourth one. Amongst the highly-anticipated releases for this year for Jordan Brand would be the Air Jordan XIII (13) retro during the Flint Grey colorway. The timing is best for Jordan aficionados, whose attention in late December will probably be geared on the Air Jordan XI (11) Retro from the Cool Grey colorway, as they’ll have a little bit of time in between the releases of two hugely well-known sneakers in the Jordan canon. The draw to this model will be the sleek college blue upper combined with white hits on the toe and midsole. The flint shade that lends the shoe its nickname appears around the heel and midfoot panels and on a portion of the outsole. Begin allocating funds for the massive time releases coming out vacation season, as proper around turkey time, on November 26th to be precise, this shoe will drop at Jordan Brand retailers.

the air max

Nike Air Max is a line of shoes first released by Nike, Inc. in 1987. Since its introduction, Nike has frequently introduced new and updated models in the same product line. The Nike Air Max shoe uses a large air cushioning unit at the heel which is visible from the side of the midsole in most models. Different types of Air Max cushioning include "Air Max2" which does not have the "holes" in the cushioning unit and is of high pressure, "Tube Air" which is visible in several small circles on the midsole of the shoe, "Total Air" which is basically just another word for full Air Max cushioning, "Tuned Air," which is a system of individual pods supposedly "tuned" to different areas of the foot. Air in the early 1990s which was visible through the bottom of the shoe (although smaller portions of Air units are visible through the bottom of many Air Max models) and another type of Air cushioning is the low profile and very responsive "Zoom Air."

Culture and Fashion

The shoe has aged well since its introduction. The shoe is popular among underground and known groups.
In the last few years with the internet gaining more popularity among the youth, AirMax has gone into a new phase. Websites and shops have been set up to sell custom Airmaxes. This often involves painting the AirMax to give it a unique color.
Due to its cushion, the shoe is a popular clothing item in Hip Hop Culture and among gabber music fans.

Hi this is June and I am going to post about the air max from the NIKE. Firstly, I want to say these are really comfortable, it is made for running so the company put whole air part on the bottom. There are the air max series 90, 95, 97, and 2010 etc. I have been had 2 pairs of these air max 95 series. I am really happy with these shoes.

the costs will be little bit high, but everyone likes the air max series.

the TOMS

TOMS Shoes is an American footwear company that is based in Santa Monica, California,[1] which also operates a for-profit subsidiary, Friends of TOMS. The company was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie, an entrepreneur from Arlington, Texas.[2][3][4] The company designs and sells lightweight shoes based on the Argentine alpargata design.[5] With every pair sold, TOMS donates a new pair of shoes to a child in need

Social Entrepreneurship

For every pair of TOMS Shoes purchased, a pair of new shoes is given to a child in need. Over 600,000 pairs of shoes have been given to children under the One for One movement since TOMS launched in 2006.[17] The canvas shoes have been given to children in the United States (Louisiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and Florida), Argentina, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Guatemala, Haiti, and South Africa. TOMS are sold at more than 500 stores nationwide and internationally, including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Whole Foods, which features styles made from recycled materials.[18] In January 2009, TOMS collaborated with Element Skateboards to create a line of TOMS shoes, skate decks and longboards. For each pair of TOMS Element shoes and/or skateboard is bought, one of the same was given to kids at the Indigo Skate camp in the village Isithumba in Durban, South Africa. Blake Mycoskie is hoping to expand the One for One model into other areas like housing, water and schoolbooks. Mycoskie would like to create partnerships with companies so his customers can buy what they need while the same things are given to those who need them across the globe.

Charity

Friends of TOMS is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit affiliate of TOMS Shoes.[21] The organization coordinates volunteer activities and all TOMS shoe drops.
In 2006, TOMS Shoes distributed 10,000 pairs of shoes in Argentina.[6][22] In November 2007, the company distributed 50,000 pairs of shoes to children in South Africa.[23] As of April 2009, TOMS Shoes had distributed 140,000 pairs of shoes to children in Argentina, Ethiopia, South Africa as well as children in the United States.[24] The company announced in April 2010 that they had given over 600,000 pairs of new shoes to children in need around the world

Current projects

In 2009, TOMS aimed to give shoes to children in Haiti in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative.[34] They have also built a factory in Ethiopia and developed a specialized rubber boot that will help to further prevent disease in the surrounding areas.[35] The company has also expanded its merchandise list to include clothing and different types of shoes including Stitchouts, Wrap Boots, Botas, Cordones, and the highly anticipated Wedge, which debuted June 2010.
On April 8, 2010, TOMS hosted the 3rd annual One Day Without Shoes. The company challenged people worldwide to go a day without shoes in order to raise awareness for the millions of children who go without shoes every day. Over 250,000 people across the globe went barefoot on April 8 in support of TOMS One Day Without Shoes.

Hi everyone, today I am going to blog about the TOMS shoes. These shoes are amazing, if you buy one pair of shoes, another a pair goes to someone who needs a shoes. When I heard this, I automatically thought, yes I should buy one pair!! and When I tried them, it was so comfortable, and stylish. after then, I recommended to my girlfriend for buying it, and she bought red shoes.
I want everyone who read this blog to buy one of these shoes. they make a lot of different style shoes and someone bought white plain shoes and she draw something on her shoes, it was so amazing.
I am really happy with these shoes. the cost is about $40~45. and I think they run little bit small.

The UGG boots

Ugg boots (sometimes called uggs) are unisex sheepskin boots, made of twin-faced sheepskin with fleece on the inside and with a tanned outer surface, often with a synthetic sole. Ugg boots are believed to have been first developed in New Zealand orAustralia, although the exact date is uncertain.
There has been a dispute between manufacturers of ugg boots, as to whether "ugg" is ageneric term and thus ineligible for trademark protection, especially in the region of origin. Deckers Outdoor Corporation holds the UGG trademark in more than 100 countries worldwide.[2] Notable exceptions are Australia and New Zealand where the term is considered generic.

History

The origins of the ugg boot style are disputed, with both Australia and New Zealand claiming to have been the origin of the footwear.[4] Nevertheless, it appears that "fug boots" (thought to be a shortened form of "flying ugg boots") were used by aviators during World War I,[5] and that they were present in rural Australia during the 1920s.[4] While it is not clear when manufacturing started, by 1933 ugg boots were being manufactured by Blue Mountains Ugg Boots,[6] and Mortels Sheepskin Factory were making the boots from the late 1950s.[5]
In regard to naming, it appears that ugg bootsugh boots and ug boots have been used as generic terms for sheepskin boots in Australia and New Zealand since at least the 1970s,[1][7] although individual accounts have suggested that the terms (or variations thereof) were employed earlier. The 1970s saw the emergence of advertising using the names,[1] but Brian Smith, (who founded Ugg Holdings Inc), has stated that the boots were referred to as "uggs" long before the word was trademarked,[8] The Mortel Skeepskin Factory has been making ugg boots since 1958 with Frank Mortel claiming he named them Ugg boots after his wife commented that the first pair he made were "ugly".[9][10][11][12]
In the 1960s, ugg boots became a popular option for competitive surfers,[7] who used the boots to keep their feet warm after exiting from the surf.[13] Surfing helped popularise the boots outside Australia and New Zealand, when surfer Brian Smith started selling the boots in the United States through the company Ugg Holdings, Inc. in 1979.[13] After this was sold toDeckers Outdoor Corporation in 1995, ugg boots emerged as a fashion trend in the United States through Deckers' promotion of their brand, with celebrities such as Kate Hudson,Sarah Jessica Parker and Pamela Anderson wearing the boots,[14][15][16] (although Anderson renounced ugg boots in 2007 upon realising that they were made from animal skin).[15] Deckers' actions to promote their product "led to an exponential growth in the brand's popularity and recognizability."[17]Deckers has reported sales of US$689 million under the UGG brand in 2008,[18] an increase from US$14.5 million in 1995.

Today I am posting the UGG boots. The people thought there are not men boots, however there are also men size boots too, but I have never seen a guy wears the UGG boot. :))))
I tried to wear my girl friend's boots, it was really warm lol.
These boots cost is really high, bout $ 150 and $ 180  it is a but almost every girls have at least one of them. so I can imagine this boots are really hot thesedays.

The Lebron 8 jordan

Hi this is June and I am going to blog about basketball shoes today.
We all know about the jordan series. This is the new Lebron 8 jordan series.
When I tried them size 8 these are little bit tight even if I were size 8.
So I think they run little bit tight, but I think that is their purpose
because when you play basketball you need tight shoes to protect your ankle.
And they are really really comfortable.
When I try them on my foot, the bottom part was so soft,
because there are whole air part on the bottom

Their cost are about $130. As we know the jordan series are high.

The converse chuck

Hi this is June, how was your week? ::))))
Today I am going to post about converse chuck. I am sure everyone has worn them at least once.

Chuck Taylor All Star basketball shoe.
The Chuck Taylor All Star shoe has developed a number of nicknames over the years, such as: "Cons", "Connies", "Convics", "Convos", "Verses", "Chuckers", "Chucks", "Converse", "Chuckies", "Chuckie Ts", or "Chucker Boots" or "Chuck Taylors" for the higher styles.[citation needed] For decades the Chuck Taylor All Star basketball shoe only came in black, with a white variant released in 1947. Under pressure from basketball teams Converse decided in 1966 to manufacture other colors. Different materials also began to be used, starting in the 1970s, including leather, suede and vinyl, and even hemp, rather than just canvas. Besides high-tops, low-cuts and later knee-high versions were produced. After Converse was bought by Nike, operations were moved from the United States to overseas. The fabric is no longer 2-ply cotton canvas but 1-ply "textile" and many wearers have noticed different patterns of wear. Types include neon, clear plastic, words, etc. and remains popular for children and adults all over. Today, even in countries in the East like in India, they are a common choice for all children from above Std. VII. Several colours don the market and even Chinese companies manufacture such shoes.
These are really popular shoes and the most powerful advantage is they are cheap.
These shoes run right so you can get rigt your size.
and these are very cheap, so I think they are not comfortable if you need to stand up long time.
